Why exteriors take longer than people expect
Almost every exterior failure traces back to something that happened before the paint. Surfaces are washed and left to dry properly, loose material is scraped back to something sound, bare wood is primed, and rot gets repaired rather than painted over. Caulk joints are cut out and replaced where they have opened up.
