Cabinetry and architectural millwork are finished, not painted. Conversion varnishes and catalyzed lacquers cure to a much harder film than wall paint, which is what lets a kitchen survive daily use without chipping at the door edges.
We spray these systems rather than brushing them, and match stain on site so new work blends into the wood you're keeping.

Why cabinetry is finished, not painted
Conversion varnishes and catalysed lacquers cure to a much harder film than wall paint. That is what lets a cabinet door survive daily use without chipping along the edge where a thumb catches it every day.
They also demand more of the process. The surface has to be genuinely clean, the coats have to be built up and sanded between, and the conditions have to stay within range while it cures. Rushed, these products fail in exactly the places you touch most.

Either way the preparation is written into the scope alongside the product, because the two are not separable. A coating only performs to its data sheet if the surface underneath it was prepared the way that sheet requires.
